Mountain Bike Trails

Whether you have a fat bike, a mountain bike or a hybrid bike, there are trails for you to ride at the Summerstown Trails. There are approximately 20 km of bikeable trails that people of all ages and abilities can enjoy.

With the winter season being over, the main trail, which is reserved for XC skiing in the winter, can now be used for biking. This trail is very wide (more than 3 m wide), fairly flat and very dry, with no protruding roots or rocks. This main trail can accommodate all types of bikes, including hybrid bikes, and people of all ages, including young families. You can spend a good hour just biking that trail.

If you feel more adventurous and have the bike required, you can venture on the multi-use and snowshoe trails which are narrower and more challenging. A mountain bike or a fat bike is required to ride these trails. These bikers can enjoy a big 9 km loop of challenging terrain.

Be aware that some of the winter trails cannot be used in the non-winter months, as they go through marshes and are now “under water”.

We also ask that people not ride the trail if it is too wet and not to go around wet spots so as not to damage the trail or the surrounding vegetation even further.
